Acne Herbal Remedies — why they work

herbalThere are many harsh chemical acne treatments on the market, but they can be harsh and irritating. Acne herbal remedies have been found to be a safe and effective way to treat acne without chemicals.

Acne herbal remedies work by getting rid of toxic substances in your body. It is thought that without the toxins then there will be no more acne. Eliminating toxins will in fact rid the body of bacteria and without the bacteria acne cannot breed.

Acne herbal remedies come in different forms, but the most common method of treatment is by herbal tea. There are also other forms of herbal treatments such as pills and ointments. Make sure you know which balance of alkaline and acidic herbal treatments are right for you.

Herbal remedies have had some very positive results, and should offer any acne sufferer some type of relief.

Home remedies for acne

Smoked_almondsGetting rid of acne is no easy task, but here are 5 home remedies that are proven to give you great results:

Toothpaste can be used to get rid of acne in a few days. You must use only white opaque toothpaste; the paste needs to be applied on the boils directly. Overnight is better since the mint will draw out the heat from the boils thus healing them.

Oatmeal is another wonderful healer of acne. What’s best, it’s easy to use too. But first you need to cook it, let it cool down, mix it with lukewarm water and then apply it on your entire face. I recommend leaving it say, about twelve minutes, et voila! An acne-free face.  This is an effective home remedy and it keeps the skin healthy by removing the toxins and oil in the ducts.

The use of almond oil is also very useful in getting rid of acne. It is good for dry skin types. The oil acts a moisturizer and nourishes the skin; it extracts the toxins from under the skin thus getting rid of the acne.

Orange peel is another effective home remedy that can help in the healing of acne. It must be mixed with water and applied on the affected areas. Orange peel is known to have cleansing properties and can do wonders for the skin.

Baking powder can do the job as well. Take a small amount of baking powder and mix it with water to form a thick paste. Apply the paste on the face and leave for four minutes. Then wash it off with cold water and pat the face dry with towel. The results show within weeks.

But remember, besides these five wonderful home remedies, you should drink plenty of water. It flushes out the toxins in the body. A healthy diet and exercise also helps in the prevention of acne. Try these and you’ll be surprised at the results!
